Celsius to Fahrenheit

Celsius to Fahrenheit Conversion

The Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion is a mathematical process to convert a temperature value from the Celsius scale to the Fahrenheit scale. The Celsius scale is commonly used in most countries for measuring temperature, while the Fahrenheit scale is predominantly used in the United States. The formulas for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa are as follows:

Celsius to Fahrenheit:

  • F = (C 9/5) + 32

Where:

  • F is the temperature in Fahrenheit.
  • C is the temperature in Celsius.

Fahrenheit to Celsius:

  • C = (F - 32) × 5/9

Where:

  • C is the temperature in Celsius.
  • F is the temperature in Fahrenheit.

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, you multiply the temperature in Celsius by 9/5 and then add 32. To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, you subtract 32 from the temperature in Fahrenheit and then multiply by 5/9.

For example:

    To convert 20 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit:
    F = (20  9/5) + 32
    F = 36 + 32
    F = 68F

    To convert 75 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius:
    C = (75 - 32)  5/9
    C = 43  5/9
    C  23.89C

These conversion formulas allow you to easily convert temperature values between the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales. Keep in mind that the Celsius scale is based on the freezing and boiling points of water, with 0C being the freezing point and 100C being the boiling point at standard atmospheric pressure. In the Fahrenheit scale, water freezes at 32F and boils at 212F under the same conditions.
